The Design Process: Creating Your Ideal Landscape
The process of creating your ideal landscape begins with exploration. You will receive a questionnaire that will ask you to think about your personal style and tastes, your lifestyle, and the way you would like to enjoy your outdoor spaces. The questionnaire will also ask you to identify the landscape areas you would like to modify.

Once you have had time to complete the questionnaire, Beth Bandy will come to your home for an initial site visit. You and Beth will have a chance to discuss your questionnaire answers as well as your budget, to ensure that Pianta's designs will truly meet your needs.

During this initial visit, Beth will conduct a thorough site analysis. She will take accurate measurements of your site, inventory of your existing plants, and make notes about maintenance issues that should be resolved (such as tree repair) before moving ahead with other landscaping projects. She will also take soil samples, which  will  provide important information about the qualities of your garden soil and the kinds of plants that would thrive around your home.

Back in the studio, Beth will create a scale drawing of your property and concept plans – rough, bubble diagrams illustrating possible options for your final landscape design.

You will have a second meeting with Beth to review these basic concept plans. At this meeting, you will select the concept plan that is most appealing to you, noting any changes or additions you would like to make. Based on your review and comments, she will return to the studio to draft the final design for your property.

At your third meeting, you and Beth will review the final plans and discuss the steps required to create your ideal landscape. Depending on your needs, Beth can help you stagger installation projects to meet your budget and help you keep your landscape in top shape through garden coaching and a customized maintenance plan.
